This role is accountable for providing focused Operations financial leadership by managing the annual planning cycle monthly forecasting and management reporting leading the business review process tracking financial targets and ensuring effective financial controls. The incumbent also has accountability to provide complete transparency into the financial performance of the business and promptly escalate issues and concerns. This position will work closely with the Hong Kong and Regional Controller teams and requires demonstrated ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and monitor Operations financials and lead end-to-end management reporting and monthly forecasting cycles including KPI reporting to deliver actionable insights and ensure alignment with Regional and Global requirements.
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes and evaluate the recharge model intercompany billing and provide guidance for accurate ledger transactions.
Analyze expense categories and ledger details to produce clear insightful dashboards that highlight trends cost drivers and efficiency opportunities.
Actively identify and implement process improvements through automation leveraging tools such as Power BI to streamline reporting and develop dynamic dashboards.
Partners with function heads to support effective management of their functional expense understand trends variances and assess the impact of savings initiatives.
Special projects and ad hoc reporting as required
Required Qualifications:
Degree holder or above with major(s) in Accounting and/or Finance with CPA or related disciplines designation; project management background an advantage
8-10 years of solid experience in Operations financial management planning and financials reporting experience; insurance and/or financial services industry strongly preferred
Experience working with senior management teams; strong stakeholder management influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical planning execution and problem-solving skills capabilities; ability to challenge the status quo and demonstrate resilience.
Excellent communication skills to summarize complex issues effectively; ability to multitask under tight timelines in a dynamic environment.
Proven team management and people development skills including coaching and mentoring.
Knowledge of Lawson Essbase Anaplan and Power BI preferred; ability to leverage technology for process improvement.
Proficient in English and Mandarin with strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and offshore teams.
