About the Role

As theBusiness Development Manager - Service Network you will identify new growth opportunities and support our Ford fleet customers by delivering a comprehensive suite of parts and service solutions tailored to their business needs.

You will manage both immediate operational requirements and long-term strategic relationships to drive service loyalty and retention. A key focus of this role is to proactively partner with Fleet customers to develop uptime strategies working in close partnership with Vehicle SalesKey Accounts Managers (KAMs) and the broader team to maximise fleet productivity. By engaging Ford and dealer stakeholders you will champion customer satisfaction and ensure a best-in-class parts and service experience.

This position reports directly to the Fleet Strategy and Sales Manager and is based at our National Sales Company Office in Richmond operating on a hybrid schedule with four days in the office.

Please note that remote and interstate travel are required for this role and will constitute approximately 25% of the roles duties.



Responsibilities
  • Growth & Opportunity Capturing:Identify and secure new business opportunities by promoting the Ford service proposition and onboarding new fleet profiles.
  • Proactive Uptime Advocacy:Monitor Vehicle Off Road (VOR) status weekly and lead aftersales communications to mitigate customer pain points and maximize fleet productivity.
  • Tender & Strategic Support:Provide critical input and service expertise for tender responses and utilize segment-level insights to develop tailored service schedules for customers.
  • Product Coaching:Deliver tailored coaching to fleet operators on new products and service offerings such as mobile service to enhance the overall product experience.
  • Advanced Case Resolution: Oversee and give operational guidance on complex service cases and warranty inquiries.
  • Continuous Improvement Loop:Capture and communicate customer feedback to internal departments to drive improvements in service delivery and product quality.
  • Performance Reporting:Generate and analyse account-level reports to track key metrics including service loyalty vehicle uptime and overall fleet health.


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in franchise or service network development preferably within the OEM / franchise network industry.
  • Solid understanding of the automotive parts and service business with the ability to navigate technical service requirements.
  • Proven ability to establish and nurture high-trust relationships with external fleet customers and internal business partners.
  • Highly developed interpersonal negotiation and collaborative skills to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with tender management processes proposal writing and commercial best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate fleet data into actionable business insights.

Preferred

  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and the Microsoft Office Suite for data management and reporting.
  • University degree in Business Administration Technical Studies or Automotive Engineering or similar.
