The School of Nursing University of Wollongong is identified as a provider of high-quality professional education and contributing to the generation and dissemination of knowledge within a research-intensive university. The Bachelor of Nursing program is offered at six delivery sites including Wollongong South- Western Sydney Shoalhaven Southern Sydney Batemans Bay and addition we have an expansive post graduate portfolio with degrees in Nursing Mental Health Dementia Care and Health Leadership and Management.
About the role
We are seeking two motivated part-time Technical Officers Nursing Simulation to provide technical support in a job-share arrangement to the clinical simulation activities and laboratories within the School of Nursing and to maintain the laboratories ensuring that the spaces and equipment are functional and safe. The position is responsible for the nursing simulation operations at their relevant campus and reports to the Nursing Simulation Manager.
What you will bring
You will have completed a degree or associate diploma with relevant work experience (such as allied health nursing or applied science) or have equivalent experience or a combination of relevant experience and education/training. A working knowledge of general simulation equipment including training aids such as nursing manikins is required. You should also have demonstrated ability to use initiative in planning and prioritising multiple tasks and projects to work to deadlines. While experience with software programs applicable to simulation teaching and experience setting up clinical simulations in simulation centres is desirable it is not essential.
