Position Purpose

The Host and Busser Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service cleanliness and addition the Host and Busser Manager ensures that Old Savannah Distillerys service standards are upheld: looks good served quickly. The Host and Busser Manager supports the Old Savannah Distillery senior leadership in upholding all brand standards and core values while meeting or exceeding Old Savannahs business objectives.

Requirements:

Essential Functions

  • Assist with all day-to-day front of house operations including opening and closing procedures and Manager-on-Duty duties when assigned.
  • Check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and resolve any customer complaints regarding food service.
  • Perform food preparation or service tasks such as cooking clearing tables and serving food and drinks when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory ensure proper rotation maximize existing inventory profits and properly documentation of inventory reporting. Keep track of costs sales and labor costs.
  • Maintain quality and security of the building equipment props and inventories. Accountable for supply inventory levels and the security of all supply inventories and monies.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently over long periods of time and in groups within the scope of established rules and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills excellent speaking reading and writing.
  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language either written or spoken to communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to effectively pitch and present information in one-on-one and group situations to media customers clients partners and other employees of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry inclusive of restaurant culinary operations.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supervising employees in a restaurant/bar operation
  • Possess all local food management and safety certifications.

Other Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing.
  • Have a passion for helping people and making their Savannah experience a memorable one.
  • Able to obtain a City of Savannah Server Card
  • Able to obtain a SERVsafe Certification for Management
