As Legal Manager M&A and Projects you are involved in and are managing legal M&A work in the EU and if need be globally for the Ahold Delhaize organization activities which are relevant in portfolio expansion together with the relevant brand legal teams and involving EU / AD Group senior and executive management.

Key responsibilities of your role
You will provide legal advice in project teams across the organization in a broad range of projects and matters that are of strategic and business importance to Ahold Delhaize. This may involve assisting with complex or high stakes matters such as M&A litigations regulatory matters new business initiatives or business solutions or partnerships or other sensitive or strategic projects that require timely and well-considered legal solutions to support the organizations goals while mitigating risks / establishing adequate compliance.
You will be acting as legal advisor and legal project manager helping to enhance interconnectivity and alignment between the different teams in the organization.
Management of outside counsel is part of your responsibilities.
Your role is highly diverse and encompasses various responsibilities. Here are the key ones:
You will provide legal advice on M&A legal matters. Advice the brand legal teams towards successful signing closing and implementation of a new acquisition divestiture or a merger.
Manage strategic projects from a legal perspective. This will include actively participating in and facilitating problem solving sessions leading the legal design and follow up on projects that will support and improve the strategic position of Ahold Delhaize.
Part of the role is to provide advice on an ad hoc basis on a range of legal related topics as they may arise in the organization from time to time. You will provide clear accurate and actionable advice on the topic at hand using a crisp and actionable communication style
