Position Summary
Responsible for supporting the day to day activities of a selling organization culture with a consumer-centric focus through Category Merchandising and Pricing (CMP) responsibilities. Coordinate the development of the perishable merchandising planner in support of weekly Ad. Serve as the single point of contact between perishable category and commercial planning teams.
Principle Duties and Responsibilitie
- Support perishable display planning and ad development within Category Merchandising and Pricing (CMP) as it relates to the strategies and initiatives.
- Track analyze and report out on weekly ad performance and financial goals.
- Partners with Category Marketing and pricing teams to deliver display planning for all key elements of Thematic Planning and Merchandising.
- Responsible for developing the weekly Merchandising Planner and effective communication of Merchandising Planner to Category teams and Retail Operations.
- Collaborate with Perishable Merchandising teams to deliver weekly communication of perishable merchandising plans.
- Conduct regular visits with retail leaders distribution partners perishable merchandising teams and field merchandising teams to best understand and respond to needs/opportunities.
- Follow-up on execution of merchandising programs and strategies.
- Coordinate displaying of cross-merchandising events: i.e. stock up and save buy this get that.
- Provide support for motivating peers and function as an effective promoter of change and growth.
- Provide support for the implementation of a continuous improvement culture.
- Serve as a member of key teams and committees as needed
- Responsible for the development talent planning and performance management of self.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of Fresh and/or Center Store categories.
- Experience in leading projects and influencing consensus.
- In depth understanding of standard practices and merchandising strategies
- Mature level of knowledge for company business and industry practice
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA)
- Relationship management experience with vendors brokers and third party consultants
- Negotiation experience
- Experience with the following computer programs: SEGA DSS LlamaSoft WMS PFT Inforem Tableau Revionics MSP
- Spatial Merchandising planning experience
Education
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Experience
- 5-8 years combined experience in retail merchandising category pricing logistics supply chain procurement and distribution.
