Synechron is seeking a highly skilled Murex Collateral Expert / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a prestigious Banking project in Sydney. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Murex Collateral Management strong functional knowledge of capital markets and hands-on experience in delivering large-scale banking transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary SME for Murex Collateral Management within the project.
- Lead collateral-related solution design configuration and implementation in Murex.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Provide guidance on margining collateral optimization and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with technology teams to ensure seamless integration of Murex with upstream/downstream systems.
- Conduct workshops training sessions and knowledge transfer for business and IT teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to collateral workflows reporting and system performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Basel III EMIR Dodd-Frank etc.) in collateral processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10 years of experience in capital markets domain with at least 5 years in Murex Collateral Management.
- Strong knowledge of Murex modules: Collateral Risk Back Office and Front Office workflows.
- Expertise in margin call processes collateral agreements CSA management and dispute resolution.
- Hands-on experience with Murex v3.1 or higher.
- Solid understanding of financial products (derivatives fixed income FX equities).
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting collateral management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced global banking environment.
