Job Summary
Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Amazons long-term initiative to design launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world
Its Day 1 for Amazons next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Senior Financial Analyst to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology manufacturing and FP&A who thinks/acts globally and has the ability to create and implement solutions processes and controls.
Project Kuiper seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support the inventory consignment initiative. This position will partner with business and finance leaders to design program strategy through thoughtful analysis develop key financial processes and support automation initiatives. The successful candidate will need to be strategic analytical and have the demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to improve and create new measures for business effectiveness innovate creative solutions utilizing large scale data mining tools and identify high priority projects to maximize results for key stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
Create effective business partnerships manages competing priorities and provides investment guidance based on data analysis.
Identify opportunities to drive supply chain efficiencies with a focus on generating inventory consignment expansion opportunities.
Present financial summaries and business insights to Senior Management (Business and Finance).
Develop financial models for new business concepts and resulting financial impact to help drive data driven decision making.
Build out and enhance P&L models for new and existing businesses develop business insights and lead ad hoc analyses.
Participate in Finance initiatives including but not limited to process improvements ad hoc analyses and preparation of periodic reporting activities.
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field
- 3 years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Experience in financial modeling P&L management or analysis or experience in accounts receivable or account payable
- Experience in positions that require analysis and reporting financial results
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) or experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving or experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- 3 years of experience delivering cross-functional projects with tech and non-tech teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
