As the Assistant Kitchen Coordinator you will play a key leadership role in supporting kitchen operations and meal service at Camp Stephens. This is an active vacancy not a future hiring pool and the successful candidate will make an immediate impact by helping deliver nutritious high-quality meals supporting food safety practices and fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environmentensuring Camp Stephens remains a place where campers and staff can Shine On.

HOW youll create Moments that Matter:
You will support the planning and preparation of balanced menus assist with food ordering and ensure meals are served safely on time and in sufficient quantities for campers and staff. You will help oversee food safety standards conduct regular kitchen and equipment inspections and maintain a clean organized and efficient kitchen and dining environment. You will also support administrative and leadership tasks including budgeting assistance staff feedback training support and end-of-season reporting.
What Youll bring:
- Experience working in kitchen operations or food service ideally in a camp institutional or high-volume setting.
- Strong organizational communication and teamwork skills with the ability to support and mentor kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.
- A demonstrated commitment to food safety inclusion and contributing to positive camper and staff experiences aligned with the Ys mission and values.
- Required Certifications: Standard First Aid with CPR-C Food handlers
