L3Harris Broadband Communications Systemsis currently seekinga dynamic hands-onBuild and Release Engineerfor ourSoftware Configuration Management Team.This position specializesin managing documenting and enhancingour organizations software programsand ensurestimely main responsibility of therelease engineeris to use automation tools like Jenkins to increase efficiencies of building and releasing critical work will contribute directly to the security of our nation.

Essential Functions:

• Advanced Scripting and Pipeline Automation Scripting languages such as bash python groovy etc. to automate manual tasks and experience with Unix Cmake Docker (or other similar containerization tools)
• Troubleshooting Ability to diagnose complex CI/CD build and deployment issues to ensure reliable and repeatable root causes of build and release failures and implement durable fixes in fast-paced environments.

• Analytical Thinking Ability to analyze critique and follow software build instructions
• Collaboration Working closely with theengineeringleadershipsoftware developersprogram and Systems Engineers the Systems & Software Quality Assuranceteamand others involved in thesoftware releaseprocess
• Communication Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential as release engineers communicate with various personnel and write software release reference materials
• Time Management Release engineers are relied upon to process software products in a timely manner supporting programs to meet critical deadlines
• Change Management Ability to adapt to changes or unexpected barriers in the software build and release process including rescheduled deadlines

Qualifications:

• BachelorsDegreeinCS CE or equivalentsoftwaredegree Bachelors Degree in CS CE or equivalentsoftwaredegree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience in software development preferably software build/release experience ORGraduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

• Experience managing development and products thatincludeopen sourcesoftware
• Experience developing software for Department of Defense and intelligence community applications including familiarity with AS9100D and AS9115A
