Hiring Unit: Financial Services

ELIGIBILITY: WORK STUDY STUDENTS AT McGill UNIVERISTY. CERTIFICATION FOR WINTER 2026 REQUIRED.


Position Summary: Under the direction of the immediate supervisor the incumbent may perform general accounting transactions to support the Funds Management team of RFMS. These functions are of moderate complexity and the incumbent performs them using established instructions.

Typical Functions:

  • Opening and closing of funds
  • Posting claimed wire and cheque payments
  • Posting journal entries
  • Preparing payment requests
  • Logging in signed financial statements
  • Other related duties when required


Work study students enrolled in Bachelor of Commerce / Economics and/or have an understanding of general accounting principles.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook Excel

  • Strong attention to detail (data entry email etiquette etc.)

  • Solid work ethic (punctual good communication works well in a team)

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience

Hourly Salary:

(AMUSE B) $18.50
