JOB SUMMARY
Provides mental health services to victims of crime served by the Childrens Justice Center. Implements mental health best practice services to fulfill national accreditation standards. Participates in multidisciplinary team protocols to represent the best interest of child victims using a victim centered and trauma informed approach.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Mastersdegree from accredited college or university insocial work psychology marriage and family therapy mental health counseling or other closely related field and Licensed as a Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Utah.
Preference given to those with at least four (4) years of experience in a child related setting with one (1) year of experience working with child victims and one (1) year of counseling experience with youth.
Required to successfully complete 40 hours of evidence-based trauma-informed training within six (6) months of hire according to national accreditation standards.
A valid Drivers license issues by the State of Utah is required to operate a vehicle.
Due to the nature of this position the successful applicant must successfully pass a criminal background check as well as every two years thereafter and continuously meet the requirements of the Bureau of Criminal Information (BCI).

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed in a typical office environment counseling settings and child abuse investigation settings. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. CJC staff work regularly with clients in crisis situations and who have experienced significant trauma and abuse.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION
This position may be requested to respond to urgent cases outside of regular business hours.
