Role Overview

We are looking for a senior Oracle Database Technical Specialistto provide Level 3 databasesupport for mission-critical systems within a Custody environment. Thisrole is responsible for ensuring databasereliability performance and best practices acrossdevelopment testing and production environments.

The professional will work closely with internal teams and third-party vendorssupporting ongoing improvements upcoming developments and operationalstability in a global fast-pacedenvironment.

Key Responsibilities

Projects& Change Management

Gather and document technical requirementsfor system enhancements and updates

Drive the changerequest process ensuring alignment between business andtechnical needs

Lead technicaltesting activities to validate changes and ensure smoothproduction deployments

Own and execute assigned initiatives end to endtracking progress and deliverables

Monitor project timelines and proactively escalate risks or delays

Identify systemgaps inefficiencies or weaknesses and propose actionableimprovements

Enforce and communicate technical and project standards

Independently prioritize and manage assignedprojects

Liaise with business stakeholders developers andvendors providing regular status updates

DatabaseSupport & Operations

Provide Level3 database support including root-cause analysis and permanentfixes

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues suchas:

* Applicationperformance bottlenecks

* HighCPU and memory utilization

* Queryand application performance tuning

Evaluate alternative solutions and workaroundsto minimize operational impact

Monitor databaseinfrastructure including availability disk usage logsbackups and network alerts

Support globalteams across different regions and time zones

Manage application databases including:

* Softwareinstallation and patching

* Dataimport/export and ETL processes

* Developmentof ad-hoc and scheduled reports

Perform routine DBA activities such as:

* Backupand recovery management

* Useraccess and security administration

* Databasehealth checks and proactive tuning

Technical Skills &Qualifications

5years of experience as a DatabaseAdministrator (DBA)

Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle Database 12c / 19c(mandatory)

Experience with other databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MS SQL Server)is a plus

Proven skills in performance optimizationincluding index tuning and query optimization

Experience with database lifecycle managementincluding data cleanup archival purging and automation

Strong analytical and problem-solving skillswith the ability to translate technical concepts into documentation diagrams and reports

Experience contributing to IT infrastructure planning sizing andimplementation

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced global environment

Language Requirements
