Job Summary
Job Description
A well-established and leading manufacturing company based in North Yorkshire is looking for a Head of SHEQ to join the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great organisation and is site based with occasional traveland offers attractive salary & benefits.
The successful SHEQ Managerwill be responsible for:
Lead manage motivate and develop the SHEQ team across the business
Develop implement and maintain SHEQ policies procedures and management systems in line with legislation ISO standards and best practice
Lead the SHEQ strategy across manufacturing facilities and customer construction sites
Promote a strong culture of safety environmental responsibility and quality assurance
Conduct regular site inspections audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and improvement opportunities
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety Environmental Quality contractual and statutory requirements
Manage internal and external audits for ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Investigate incidents accidents and non-conformances ensuring robust root cause analysis and corrective actions
What Were Looking For:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior SHEQ role within the construction or engineering sector
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 ISO 14001 ISO 45001 and CDM regulations
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
Proactive approach to risk management and problem-solving
Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Management Quality Management or a related discipline
NEBOSH IOSH or equivalent professional certification (highly desirable)
