Position Summary

The Broking Specialist receives and processes submissions for business fromanetwork of insurance agents obtains quotes from multiple insurance carriers and provides agents with multiple quotes based on business requirements. Develops andmaintainsa network of agency and/or broker relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborates with AccountManagersand Client Advisors in assigned division to develop coveragestrategyand marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business in the Middle Market segment.

• In conjunction with other team members prepare review and approve client-ready documentation including proposals analysis and coverage comparisons for new business opportunities and renewals.

• Participate in client andprospectmeetings asrequested.

• Negotiate with underwriters to establish best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage.

• Develop andmaintainpositive relationships with carriers that write both Middle Market and upper Middle Market P&C business.

• Provide leadership mentoring and direction toassistwith growth and development of Broking Associates.
  Present current trends and issues to interested parties internally and externally.

• Driveutilizationof all available technology throughout broking process and client service process

• Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in all activities.
  

Position Specific Skills/Qualifications

Work Experience

• 3-5 yearsexperience in Property and Casualty with a comprehensive understanding ofinsurancecoveragesfor commercial lines
  

Professional Licenses/Certifications

• Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Office work involves working at a desk most of the time using a stand-up/sit-down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of forcefrequentlyto lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects. Typing grasping and repetitive motion typically isrequiredevery day and walking and standing arerequiredoccasionally.
