Job Summary

Responsibilities will include:

Ensure implementation and quality of project plans and specifications.

Maintaining effective schedule and cost control methods. Detailed planning and coordination of work two weeks in advance (minimum). Respond to site changes and challenges in an affective timely manner.

Maintaining accurate daily field reports schedule updates and email correspondence.

Cultivate and maintain a strong relationship with the client architect and subcontractors. Maintain a high level of communication with subcontractors clients and MDI management. Coordinate with architects engineers and applicable consultants to ensure all project requirements are met.

Lead weekly on-site meetings with subcontractors and applicable suppliers. Attend and contribute to weekly OAC meetings regarding work progress and project objectives.

Conduct safety and quality inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.

Ability to communicate effectively with management co-workers subcontractors both individually and in front of a group. Good reasoning ability and decision-making skills. Able to understand and utilize reports memos and other documents to conduct business. Ability to give clear and precise verbal and written instruction to all site members including when under pressure.

Job success often hinges upon interpersonal communication and relationship development skills and job tasks require frequent interchange and successful completion depends in large part upon effective interaction and communication with others.

Qualifications

Education:

A bachelors degree in construction management Civil Engineering or a related field (not required but preferred).

Experience:

A proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role with a solid understanding of construction processes and methodologies from start to finish (preferred).

Certifications:

AASA National Superintendent Certification Program (preferred)

OSHA Certifications (preferred)
