Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) Morrisville/Stowe VT
Position Overview
The Operating Room Circulator RN provides perioperative nursing care by coordinating and managing patient care before during and after surgical procedures in an acute care setting. This role ensures patient safety maintains a sterile environment and collaborates with the surgical team to support optimal surgical outcomes.

Scheduling options:
-
On-call: 1 weeknight per week and every 5th weekend
Key Responsibilities
-
Serve as the circulating RN for surgical procedures across various specialties.
-
Prepare operating rooms and ensure appropriate equipment instruments and supplies are available and functioning.
-
Coordinate patient care throughout the perioperative process including pre-op intra-op and post-op phases.
-
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to all surgical safety and infection prevention protocols.
-
Communicate effectively with surgeons anesthesia providers and OR staff to anticipate needs and support workflow.
-
Document perioperative assessments interventions and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
-
Participate in the on-call rotation per schedule requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
-
Active unrestricted RN license.
-
2 5 years of nursing experience; prior Operating Room/Circulator experience preferred.

BLS required; ACLS preferred.
-
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
-
Ability to work varied and rotating shifts including on-call.

Strong organizational critical thinking and communication skills.

Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment and manage multiple priorities.
