**Job Responsibilities for Med Surg Registered Nurse:**
The Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) will undertake a range of responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
1. Complete a structured orientation program encompassing specific hours for hands-on training alongside simulation sessions.
2. Provide patient care under the oversight of seasoned nursing staff complying with established clinical protocols and procedures.
3. Engage in simulation training to enhance clinical competencies and decision-making abilities in a controlled setting.
4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
5. Systematically monitor document and report patients vital signs and promptly notify the healthcare team of significant changes.
6. Educate patients and their families on health diagnoses post-treatment care regimens and preventive health strategies.
7. Assist in procedures and manage medical equipment as necessary.
8. Accurately and timely document all patient care activities in electronic medical records (EMR).
9. Participate in reflective practice and solicit feedback from mentors and preceptors to promote continuous professional development.
10. Attend workshops seminars and other educational opportunities to facilitate ongoing professional growth.
11. Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to the legal and ethical standards of nursing practice.
12. Address patient inquiries and concerns empathetically ensuring a high standard of customer service.
13. Take part in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care delivery.
14. Cultivate leadership and teamwork skills while gaining exposure to various nursing roles and specialties.
**Qualifications:**
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive training.
- Must possess a degree from an accredited nursing program with either an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire validated by Nursys
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification .
