Job Description Summary
The Gas Power Technical Compliance organization (GPTC) provides technical guidance leadership and tactical directions to drive compliance with Technical Regulations & Standards (TRS) for products projects & services for HD and Aero businesses. GPTC provides coverage in TRS expertise Process and Functional Safety and applicability throughout the entire lifecycle of Power Generation equipment including New Product Introduction (NPI) Inquiry to Order (ITO) Order to Remittance (OTR).
GPTC is seeking an Engineering Manager who is responsible for leading the team to drive the compliance with TRS requirements for HD and Aero projects and services in ASIA region and for HRSG globally. She/He will be also responsible for driving process and functional Safety from commercial phase to end of execution covering Heavy Duty and Aero projects globally. The successful candidate will be responsible to lead these teams providing mentorship while aligning the priorities to functional level.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership to the team members who are driving the compliance with TRS requirements for the product portfolio of GT ST GEN and Aero new unit and services projects in Asia region teams driving the TRS requirements for HRSG and Functional Safety for the products and the plant.
- Manage priorities for the GE Vernova and contractor teams. Manage to obtain the required level of quality.
- Ensure adequate capacity to deliver the scope of work according to SQDC priorities.
- Develop mentor coach recognize the team and support career growth opportunities.
- Develop standard work and daily management to ensure operational excellence.
- Provide leadership in defining implementing and improving relevant Project and HRSG TRS compliance processes and to streamline design process eliminate inefficiencies and improve overall productivity.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Promote company culture and the GE Vernova Way
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement to meet or exceed the annual priorities.
- Support the team in interactions with Authorities and Inspection/certification agencies.
- Lead drive & resolve safety and critical quality issues for successful project execution
- Partner with ASIA functional manager and in other regions as required to ensure harmonization lesson learned sharing and synergies across GPTC.
- Partner with cross functional teams and their leadership to effectively execute on business requirements.
- Drive organizational goals like standardization continuous improvements process enhancements by using lean methods and tools.
- Ensure seamless and timely communication to team on the technical and business updates.
- Own team performance evaluations as well as salary planning and promotions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
- Having minimum 8 years of experience in power generation.
- Strong understanding of Technical Regulations and Standards.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with peers and leadership.
- Strong managerial organizational facilitation and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of global environmental regulatory compliance approach as well as the main regional requirements.
- Occasional travel required.
Desired Characteristics
- Masters degree in engineering discipline
- Prior Experience in working with specific Regulatory compliance agencies (TUV UDT Lloyd HSB UL Intertek or similar).
- Working experience of international national and local codes and standards including but not limited to Machinery Safety Functional Safety Workplace Safety Explosive Atmospheres Pressure Equipment Building Codes Fire Codes Electrical Safety Explosive Atmospheres Energy Efficiency Electromagnetic Compatibility and Environmental Health & Safety.
- Gas Power Technology tools knowledge: PLM PTS eDRB Oracle Alpha.
- ISO 9001 familiarity.
- Experience and/or knowledge of Design Engineering Manufacture assembly installation and/or testing on GT ST Gen and GT/ST accessories.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management experience: proven ability to work with engineering project management
- Demonstrated problem solving capability.
- Demonstrated dedication to GE Vernova values and principles high level of integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes in priorities.
- Lean and Six Sigma experience/certification.
