About the Role

  • To be responsible for the operational management and delivery of the Local Area Co-ordination programme across Leicestershire
  • To lead the implementation of LAC principles which support individuals or all ages and families particularly those with disabilities (Sensory Learning and Physical) Mental Health Frailty to determine and pursue a good life
  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholder and partner agencies to influence strategic change and direction
  • To undertake formal line management of Local Area Co-ordinator Team Leaders providing high quality flexible and innovative support.
  • To ensure compliance and delivery with the Public Health delivery strategy and adherence with Leicestershire County Councils strategies policies and procedures.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post you must:

  • Be qualified to NQ level 4 or equivalent
  • Have relevant experience (paid or voluntary) of leading operational teams working with individuals and communities e.g. in a community development context
  • Skills and experience in influencing managing and supporting change at the individual family community and systems level
  • Knowledge of principles such as person centred planning asset based community development (ABCD) and social inclusion
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills using a range of formats (written verbal and non-verbal) both at a local level and at a partnership level
  • Commitment to preventative approaches that improve outcomes for individuals and communities using a whole systems approach
  • Sufficient mobility to work from different bases/locations around the County where necessary
  • Ability to work flexibly including outside of normal office hours evenings and weekends

You must also have an understanding of and commitment toequality diversity and inclusion.
