Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised professional and proactive Office Manager to join a busy primary school in Slough starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an administrative and leadership role supporting staff pupils and parents while ensuring the smooth operation of the school office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and administrative systems

  • Manage office staff providing guidance training and support

  • Act as the first point of contact for parents staff and visitors

  • Handle correspondence emails and telephone communications efficiently

  • Maintain accurate pupil and staff records including attendance and admissions

  • Support HR processes including recruitment contracts and staff documentation

  • Manage office supplies budgets and administrative resources

  • Organise school events meetings and communications

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding health and safety and data protection policies

  • Support the smooth operation of school activities and events

  • Prepare reports letters and documentation as required

  • Contribute to a professional welcoming and efficient school environment

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in school administration or office management

  • Be highly organised professional and proactive

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Be confident in using Microsoft Office and school management systems

  • Show strong leadership skills and the ability to manage staff effectively

  • Be friendly approachable and able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Be committed to safeguarding and supporting a school environment
