Job Description Diagnostic Imaging Technician (EEG / Neurodiagnostic)

Schedule & Shift Details
Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 8-hour shifts
Schedule: Monday Friday
Shift Time: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
On-Call: One week out of every four
Schedule Consistency: Same shift for entire contract
Job Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging Technician supports neurodiagnostic services by performing EEG and related diagnostic procedures. The role requires technical proficiency patient-focused care and adherence to safety and quality standards. Experience with nerve conduction studies is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Perform EEG procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Assist with neurodiagnostic testing and related diagnostic imaging procedures
Prepare patients for procedures explaining testing processes and addressing concerns
Accurately apply electrodes and ensure proper signal quality throughout testing
Monitor patients during procedures and document findings appropriately
Assist with nerve conduction studies (preferred experience)
Maintain and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment
Ensure compliance with HIPAA safety regulations and departmental policies
Provide compassionate professional patient care
Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
Required Qualifications
Registered EEG Technologist () preferred
Will consider experienced non-registered EEG technicians
Prior experience in EEG or neurodiagnostic imaging required
Experience with nerve conduction studies preferred
Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff
Preferred Skills
Experience in hospital or outpatient neurodiagnostic settings
Familiarity with EEG equipment and monitoring systems
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
