We are currently seeking internal expressions of interest for an experienced Clinical Nurse to join the residential team as a Clinical Nurse - Residential Assessment and Funding! This will be offered as a secondment role for up to six months on a part time basis up to 0.7 is negotiable!

Use your effective collaboration and communication skills to lead and mentor staff in the management of residential funding claims at residential sites. This role is based at our modern head office and there will be a requirement to drive to our residential sites on a regular basis so a car and drivers licence will be essential.

Responsibilities include

  • Working collaboratively with corporate and site based clinical funding teams and the manager of residential services to provide quality nursing services to residents in accordance with Resthaven policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with key clinical staff to support mentoring and orientation of new staff to clinical support roles.
  • Completing timely and accurate nursing assessments of individuals and ensuring care plans reflect the level of care required
  • Ensuring clinical care and documentation provided is compliant with our policies and procedures and maintaining clinical knowledge

Essential requirements

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the aged care funding processes
  • An understanding of the ageing process and comprehensive clinical knowledge particularly to age related health issues
  • Experience working with electronic clinical documentation systems such as AutumnCare
  • Understanding of and commitment to continuous quality improvements
  • Excellent communication and people skills including demonstrated experience interacting with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and/or their families/representatives
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Demonstrated commitment to respecting the values customs preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents and their families/representatives
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills
  • Demonstrated use of initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to seek out and effectively use new knowledge as it relates to nursing practices.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Adaptability and commitment to change management
  • Basic computer skills
  • A current drivers licence
