The University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) and UT Physicians are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our growing Department of Orthopedic Surgery as an Assistant Associate or Full Professor. This is an excellent opportunity for a fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon who values high-quality patient care academic medicine and teaching the next generation of surgeons.

About the Opportunity

This position is based at UTMC a Level II Trauma Center where the selected candidate will provide:

• Acute orthopedic trauma care in a hospital setting
• Non-acute and follow-up care in the outpatient clinic
• Teaching and mentorship for medical students and orthopedic residents
• Participation in scholarly activity and research with institutional support

This role offers the stability of an established academic practice combined with the hands-on impact of trauma surgeryno fluff just meaningful work done well.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive orthopedic trauma care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries
• Participate in an equitable on-call rotation including nights weekends and holidays
• Educate and mentor medical students residents and fellows
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Engage in scholarly activity consistent with academic faculty expectations
• Maintain timely accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of Orthopedic Surgery residency and Orthopedic Trauma fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Eligible for or able to obtain:
  • Unrestricted Ohio medical license
  • Unrestricted DEA license
• Demonstrated commitment to education teamwork and patient-centered care
