The Challenge

Adobe established a Global Payments function in 2020 building teams across four key areas:

1. Partnership Management

2. Payments Strategy

3. Risk Decisioning

4. Payment Operations

Each team is centralized in the United States with a global remit. To enhance the strategic potential of our Payments business Adobe is seeking an experienced regional leader to complement these central teams.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in LATAM payment processing particularly in card-not-present and subscription payment models along with strategies to optimize payment approval rates.

In this role you will partner directly with the heads of central payment functions and the LATAM regional sales team while collaborating with Legal Finance Accounting and Product teams. Externally you will engage with processors acquirers issuers and alternative payment providers to deliver a best-in-class payments experience. This position requires big-picture thinking prioritization of high-value opportunities and innovative problem-solving to drive critical metrics focused on increasing Annual Recurring Revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen Adobes relationships with LATAM payment processors and major card networks (Visa MasterCard Amex Carte Bancaires).
  • Develop strategic partnerships with alternative payment providers to enhance regional and country-specific customer experiences.
  • Establish relationships with top issuing banks in key LATAM markets educate them on Adobe products collaborate on payment optimization strategies and complete co-marketing initiatives to drive demand.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Adobes Payments organization and the LATAM sales team ensuring alignment on strategies impacting payment approvals and declines.
  • Influence prioritization of payment initiatives on internal and partner roadmaps. Own trade-offs related to build time feature functionality and revenue return on investment. Post-launch lead A/B testing target measurement and continuous improvement.
  • Create reporting and insights to track LATAM payment success trends and strategies driving revenue growth.
  • Stay ahead of LATAM payment industry trends and regulatory changes identifying new opportunities and building business use cases for prioritization.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture focused on cross-functional alignment and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • 15 years of payments experience ideally in merchant processingeither with a payment processor acquiring bank or managing global e-commerce payments on the merchant side. Experience with issuing banks or global networks is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and get results across LATAM Sales Product Treasury Marketing Finance and Operations.
  • Deep understanding of the LATAM digital payment ecosystem including trends regulatory changes and challenges in card-not-present recurring payments.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to deliver results independently.
  • Strong communication skills to simplify complex payment concepts and confidently engage senior leaders at banks networks and processors.
  • Ability to build accurate financial models and business usecases that support fast fact-based decision-making.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
