Under the direction of the Laboratory Director the Manager of Laboratory Services oversees the 24-hour operations of the laboratory to meet organizational needs and comply with federal and state requirements. Directs plans organizes and implements strategies and initiatives to enhance and support the operations of the laboratory to ensure high quality efficient and cost-effective operations. Develops and implements policies and procedures programs and initiatives that support the mission growth and success of the institution. Provides direction to department personnel to achieve operational and technical objectives including workflow design service quality financial performance regulatory compliance personnel management patient satisfaction and employee engagement.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:
Bachelors degree in biological or chemical sciences as defined by CLIA required
One year of leadership experience as a supervisory level or higher at a moderate or high complexity laboratory required
Masters Degree preferred
One year experience as a Manager preferred
MT or CLS or MLS certification required ASCP or equivalent and orCT or HTL certification required ASCP or equivalent
