About the Role:

Caraniche is seeking a highly organised Program Support Officer who will oversee the administration and coordination of group and individual treatment programs of our brand-new Mens Trauma Counselling Service delivered within Caraniches Social Justice Services (SJS) department and based at Western Plains Correctional Centre and Margoneet Correctional Centre.

Working as part of the SJS Mens Trauma Counselling Service team and reporting to the Team leader the Program Support Officer will work collaboratively with the Team leader to organise program delivery schedules provide administration and program planning support such as intake and wait list management communicate regularly with key stakeholders such as custodial staff referring agencies and clients and undertake service reporting tasks as required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Contribute to an inclusive Caraniche culture by modelling the competencies and behaviours; fulfil the Realising Potential Framework requirements.
  • Maintain waitlist and client databases including intake and processing referrals as required for Caraniche and custodial systems
  • Coordination of program administration involved in service delivery (e.g. attendance lists communications between clinicians and custodial case managers)
  • Effectively communicate information relating to referrals assessments and program objectives and delivery with relevant stakeholders and clients

What we are looking for:

  • Qualification in AOD case management social work welfare or related health profession is desirable
  • Highly developed administrative skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and written expression.
  • Excellent project coordination and/or organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team to deliver a range of services.
  • Drivers licence and ability to work onsite in Lara (Geelong)
