Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms cottages and villas with 65000 square feet of banquet space and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants 2 bars a food truck marketplace ice cream shop and in-room dining.
Shift: Various must be available weekdays weekends and holidays.
Pay Rate:The annual salary range for this role is $85000-$95000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
What will I be doing
As ourAssistant Director of Housekeeping you will be responsible for assisting the Director in the direction and administration of all Housekeeping operations to ensure the overall cleanliness and product quality of the hotel in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Managing and directing the team distribute delegate and direct workload to ensure maximum productivity and customer satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor and material including all supplies equipment and amenities. Monitor and evaluate team member performance. Coach and counsel team members when needed andengage with Union Representatives to effectively and efficiently resolve issues.
- Plan and monitor activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards. Inspect work in Public Space and Guest rooms and provide guidelines to ensure standards are met and deficiencies are corrected.
- Communicate effectively to conduct staff and departmental meetings. Attend various other related meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.
- Select and train Housekeeping team members in proper work procedures and techniques.
- Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage providing complete training for team members and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with the Hotels Hazcom program.
- Assist Director with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts. Monitor and control budget throughout the year.
