Job Summary

JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer - Harnessing
LOCATION: El Segundo CA
PAY RATE: $38-70/hour

Job Type: This is a 3-month contract with renewals every three months based on performance with potential contract-to-hire opportunities for strong performers.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Design route and validate moderately complex wire harnesses and assemblies including connector installations
Use 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Catia preferred) for harness routing on integrated vehicle models
Create 2D drawings and documentation for manufacturing wire harnesses in AutoCAD and other CAD software
Work with Mil-Spec connectors and wire including assembly processes
Interpret wire harness and PCB schematics and troubleshoot system issues across cross-functional teams
Develop and implement test and acceptance procedures for system validation and certification
Support avionics system integration and subsystem verification ensuring compliance with safety and certification requirements
Collaborate with engineering disciplines (GNC Perception Systems Software Flight Test) to ensure robust system design and seamless integration
Contribute to design reviews providing technical insights on system integration safety and performance

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or Associates degree in a related field
3 years of professional experience in wire harness design routing documentation and release
Experience with wire harness analysis testing and qualification
Strong team collaboration skills and attention to detail
Ability to solve complex design problems under tight schedules with minimal supervision
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years of professional experience
Experience with aerospace hardware design
Proficiency with wiring diagrams 3D modeling of assemblies and avionics enclosures
High proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks CAD
