Summary:
-
Manage tasks and coordinate data collection in a lead capacity from cross-functional teams.
-
Maintain records for aircraft conformity quality documentation and certification reporting.
-
Develop and manage inspection schedules for parts kits documentation and test articles to ensure regulatory compliance.
-
Collaborate with product development teams to integrate design-for-quality principles into prototypes and pre-production builds.
-
Create and manage documentation including inspection criteria test plans DFMEA/PFMEA and risk assessments.
-
Participate in design reviews: PDR CDR Prototype Design for Manufacturing Design for Assembly Verification & Validation Final Design Reviews.
-
Coordinate with DARs and DERs to support inspections and certifications.
-
Work with cross-functional departments on non-conforming material and Material Review Board meetings.
-
Lead or assist with supplier qualification audits and development of receiving inspection criteria.
-
Support FAA requests and audits under the VP of Certification and Sr. Director Quality.
-
Conduct internal and supplier audits (AS9100 ISO 9001 FAA standards) track findings and implement CAPAs.
-
Monitor supplier quality performance and support supplier development programs.
-
Develop quality metrics analyze trends and drive continuous improvement across engineering and production.
-
Train and guide teams on quality standards processes and regulatory requirements.
-
Support ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet FAA/EASA/DCMA/ISO-AS9100 and customer expectations.
Requirements:
-
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience)
-
5 years in quality assurance supplier quality or conformity inspection in aerospace
-
Strong knowledge of AS9100 ISO 9001 and FAA regulations
-
4 years experience working with regulatory agencies registrars or customers
-
4 years experience reviewing installation assembly and electrical drawings; participating in design reviews
-
Experience with FAA-approved DMIR DAR and DER
-
Experience conducting audits root cause analysis and corrective action planning
-
Excellent written and verbal communication organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Masters degree in Mechanical Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
-
Experience in aerospace startups or fast-paced development programs
-
Project or office management experience
-
ISO/AS9100 lead auditor
