Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Technical Lead (DBA) to lead and manage large-scale Oracle database environments supporting mission-critical enterprise applications. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Oracle DBA operations strong leadership in managing large technical teams and proven experience handling complex upgrades migrations RAC environments and performance optimization across heterogeneous UNIX platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage large DBA and infrastructure teams providing technical direction and operational oversight.

• Coordinate with application infrastructure and support teams across multiple ongoing projects.

• Act as the escalation point for complex Oracle database issues and production incidents.

Oracle Database Administration

• Perform hands-on Oracle DBA activities supporting Oracle 18c and 19c environments.

• Apply PSU patches across multiple Oracle database versions in enterprise environments.

• Lead and execute Oracle database upgrades to 19c including rolling upgrades (preferred).

• Perform installation configuration and troubleshooting of multi-node Oracle RAC systems using ASM.

• Create and manage ASM instances including troubleshooting and performance tuning.

High Availability Replication & Migration

• Implement and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and synchronization.

• Lead upgrade and migration of large databases across data centers with minimal downtime.

• Ensure high availability scalability and data integrity across Oracle platforms.

Performance Tuning & Architecture

• Identify database performance bottlenecks and proactively propose and implement optimization solutions.

• Apply strong understanding of Oracle database architecture to ensure system stability and efficiency.

Platform & OS Support

• Support Oracle environments running on IBM AIX Linux and Sun Solaris UNIX operating systems.

• Work closely with system administrators to ensure optimal OS and database integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12-18 years of overall IT experience with deep specialization in Oracle Database Administration.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle 18c and 19c.

• Strong experience with Oracle RAC ASM and multi-node database environments.

• Proven expertise in PSU patching database upgrades and large-scale migrations.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate implementation and troubleshooting.

• Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and internals.

• Experience supporting databases on AIX Linux and Solaris UNIX platforms.

• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring large technical teams.

• Excellent troubleshooting communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Good to Have

• Experience configuring and supporting third-party backup solutions (TSM).

• Experience supporting multiple application teams across parallel enterprise initiatives.

• Prior involvement in cross-data center migrations for large-scale databases.
