This contract position is on-site providing a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic staffing and recruiting environment within the healthcare industry.
As a Locum MD/DO you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality critical care services ensuring that patients receive the best possible medical attention. You will collaborate closely with healthcare teams to provide exceptional care while also contributing to the overall goals of our organization in connecting top medical professionals with healthcare facilities in need.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in critical condition
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and monitor patient progress
- Administer medications and treatments as required
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Participate in emergency response and critical care procedures
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Stay current with advancements in critical care medicine
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Nevada
- Experience in critical care or intensive care unit settings
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Schedule: 6a-6p 7 on/7 off
Setting: Closed ICU
Shifts available at multiple hospitals
Patient Census: 18-24 at one facility 10-12 at the other facility
Duties: Rounding new consults admissions and procedures
Required Procedures: Intubations CVC arterial lines chest tube placement paracentesis and lumbar punctures
Tracheostomy placement and ECMO management are preferred but not required
Support Staff: Full ICU team residents
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
