Job Summary:
This position is for a Medical Assistant who will be responsible for providing support in an outpatient clinic setting. The role involves assisting with patient care performing blood draws and utilizing electronic medical record systems. The Medical Assistant must be able to work efficiently and collaboratively within the healthcare team.
Location:Santa Monica California United States
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Perform blood draws.
- Collect and record patient data including vital signs and medical history.
- Document patient care and related duties in electronic medical database systems.
- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
- Coordinate equipment and supply needs.
- Assist with selected patient registration activities.
- Prepare rooms and assist with procedures.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- BLS certification
- MA National Certification
- Experience working in healthcare
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology
- Experience with electronic medical record systems
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience working with Neurology disorders
- Experience working in Psychiatry Mental Health Dementia or Addiction
Special Considerations:
- Must be within commuting distance of the facility.
- Must have own reliable transportation.
Scheduling:
- 5 x 8 Day shifts
- Shift ends at 5:00 PM non-negotiable.
- No weekend or on-call requirements.
- Floating within skillset as needed.
