Job Summary:
The Project Officer will be responsible for planning implementing and overseeing projects related to womens health and empowerment. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in project management coordination and stakeholder engagement within the non-profit or healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans including timelines budgets and resource allocation.
- Coordinate project activities ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress making adjustments as necessary to achieve objectives.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including reports budgets and records of activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective project execution and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage project budgets and resources ensuring efficient use of funds and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Conduct field visits to project sites to assess progress address challenges and provide support as needed.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders including donors and senior management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Project Management Public Health Social Sciences or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management preferably within the non-profit or healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies tools and best practices.
- Excellent organizational communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on results.
- Experience in budgeting financial management and report writing.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Hausa language is an added advantage.
