The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Administrator to support a Federal Government client in Canberra. This is a hands-on support and delivery role focused on enabling users maintaining high-quality data supporting minor enhancements and ensuring Salesforce solutions align with government compliance and governance requirements.
You will work closely with business users partner agencies and the Solution Lead to deliver stable compliant and well-governed Salesforce services.
Requirements
- Provide Level 1 and 2 Salesforce application support
- Enable users to onboard and maximise Salesforce capabilities
- Manage data quality data loads and production data updates
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards
- Support workflow optimisation while meeting government compliance requirements
- Assist with outreach capabilities and stakeholder engagement
- Investigate and resolve incidents including P1/P2 support (on-call roster)
- Deploy changes to Production via Azure DevOps
- Review Salesforce debug logs and perform post-deployment validation testing
- Participate in governance release and platform testing activities
- 3 years experience supporting Salesforce applications (L1/L2)
- At least one Salesforce certification (mandatory):
- Salesforce Administrator App Builder or Developer
- Experience with Salesforce Data Loader reports dashboards and Flows
- Strong understanding of user provisioning profiles and permissions
- Experience with Service Cloud Experience Cloud and Public Sector Solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Minimum NV1 Security Clearance
- Ability to work onsite in Canberra 3 days per week
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
- Salesforce sandbox refresh and seasonal release experience
- Working knowledge of Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Familiarity with Salesforce metadata and Git repositories
Required Skills:
Essential criteria 1. A track record of delivering technology products in large organisations 2. A demonstrated understanding of what makes for a great developer experience for external users 3. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams that follow agile and user-centred design practices 4. Experience working on large Government transformation programs highly regarded Desirable criteria 1. Knowledge experience of and relationships with the agriculture technology industry 2. Delivery of technology to support regulatory decision-making processes 3. Experience delivering to the Australian Government Digital Service Standard
