Criminal Solicitor
Location: Maidstone

Are you an experienced criminal solicitor looking to join a respected supportive team in Maidstone
Our client a well-established practice is seeking a committed Criminal Solicitor (3 years PQE) to manage a broad caseload and play a key role in their busy criminal department. This is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about criminal law to make a real impact in both private and Legal Aid work.
The Role: Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload covering the full spectrum of criminal matters from instruction to conclusion
Prepare cases for trial and represent clients at police stations and courts throughout Kent (including out-of-hours work)
Advise and support clients across both private and Legal Aid matters
Work collaboratively with colleagues and benefit from secretarial support
Travel to other offices in Kent as required
What Were Looking For
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 3 years PQE
Criminal Duty Solicitor or PSAR status (advantageous but not essential)
Strong knowledge of criminal law and procedure
Proactive organised and able to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
Excellent client-facing and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
Outstanding research skills and attention to detail
General IT competency (Microsoft Office essential; Big Hand and Partner 4 Windows advantageous)
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Full-time permanent contract (MondayFriday 9am5:30pm)
