Role Details

This is a key HSE leadership role supporting Visys Queensland operations with a primary focus on our Paper Recycling and Logistics business units. Based mainly at our Gibson Island site youll spend your time influencing safety performance across a defined portfolio of Brisbane-based sites typically working three days at Gibson Island and two days visiting other role will also have the potential to travel interstate to support other areas of the business when needed.

Reporting to the National HSE Operations Manager (Northern Region) youll play a hands-on role in driving cultural change improving systems and lifting capability across leaders and teams. This is not a compliance-only role - its about being visible building trust challenging behaviours and helping the business move forward in its HSE maturity.

Youll work closely with site leaders operational teams and functional partners to embed strong risk management improve consistency and ensure Visys HSE approach is practical sustainable and aligned to broader business objectives. The role also involves direct engagement with regulators and supporting sites through audits incidents and change.

What You Will Bring

• Proven HSE leadership experience in a multi-site environment
• Manufacturing recycling logistics or heavy industry experience
• Strong ability to influence coach and challenge leaders at all levels
• Demonstrated experience driving HSE cultural change and improvement
• Solid working knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation
• Experience dealing directly with regulators and external stakeholders
• Strong risk management investigation and problem-solving capability
• Resilience energy and a proactive go-getter mindset
• Ability to balance site presence with broader portfolio ownership
• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 experience
