The Opportunity
Join our team as a HSE Professional based at our operations site in Perth (either Kewdale or Bibra Lake). People are our strength and safety is at the core of everything that we do. We look out for one another and believe everyone is a leader of safety.
As part of our large national safety team youll have the chance to bring fresh thinking and energy to an organisation committed to staying ahead with the latest methods and advancements in Safety Health and Wellbeing. Youll work side-by-side with frontline management teams to coach develop and support them in meeting health and safety goals. No two days will look the same youll be involved in the management of a wide range of risks building your expertise while making a real difference!
What Will You Do
- oversee governance requirements including conducting and reporting due diligence activities
- support the execution of BlueScopes Health Safety and Environment plan
- coach leaders to understand their risk profile and critical controls helping them
- achieve higher standards of risk management
- deliver practical forward-thinking HSE advice that promotes continual improvement and genuine engagement
- lead serious incident investigations driving participation to understand how work is done and develop fit-for-purpose solutions
More About You
Youll thrive in this role if you can connect with people spark new ideas and influence change. You will have:
- completed or be completing tertiary safety or other relevant qualifications
- experience / exposure to manufacturing or other relevant industrial workplace
- proven experience with governance HSE management systems and critical risk controls
- demonstrated ability in motivating teams and leaders alike to achieve safety excellence
- a passion for promoting innovation and inspiring positive change
- comprehensive knowledge in incident investigation (we utilise the ICAM method)
- the confidence to work independently while keeping on top of day-to-day tasks
