Job Summary:

The Senior Corporate Actions Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive delivery of corporate actions across all Full Service platforms. This role ensures that all activities are executed promptly and efficiently in full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal company policies. The position involves daily reconciliations end-to-end processing of corporate actions (including listed securities managed funds and international securities) income processing compliance monitoring and client reporting. The role requires proactive engagement with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily reconciliations of cash holdings transactions and asset positions.
  • Oversee end-to-end processing of corporate actions ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Administer income processing and monitor all corporate action events and market announcements.
  • Manage bulk transaction processing and uphold compliance monitoring standards.
  • Prepare and deliver client reporting including annual tax reporting obligations.
  • Liaise with custodians brokers clearing and settlement participants and MDA operators.
  • Monitor and process a broad spectrum of corporate action events (dividends buybacks share splits rights issues etc.) ensuring correct tax treatments.
  • Review corporate action announcements and tax rulings to implement system enhancements.
  • Identify escalate and resolve corporate action issues especially time-sensitive or complex matters.
  • Update administration systems to reflect trades corporate actions income receipts and cash movements.
  • Support the Investment Administration Team and assist with international tax forms.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years financial services experience in a related position.
  • Experience with corporate action processing.
  • Understanding of the Australian financial markets dividend process and tax laws.
  • Knowledge of compliance monitoring frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills and professional credibility.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.

Preferred:

  • Tertiary qualifications (highly regarded).
  • Knowledge of IRESS products and services especially IRESS IPS.
