In this role you will lead Rests annual Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and assurance programme taking primary responsibility for planning and executing disruption scenarios and working closely with BCM Vendor Management and Compliance teams to drive organisational resilience and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Lead the planning and execution of annual DR testing: define scenarios and success criteria coordinate and oversee exercises ensure comprehensive evidence capture and deliver robust outcome reporting.
  • Partner with Risk Management to drive findings and remediation: proactively log issues in BCM/GRC tools assign and hold owners accountable monitor progress escalate overdue items and present status updates to governance forums.
  • Direct collaboration with BCM Vendor Management and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with directives and full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee vendor assurance activities: lead the collection and validation of artefacts critically assess DR capabilities and manage follow-up on remediation actions.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate records and dashboards for program performance and remediation tracking providing transparency and actionable insights.
  • Take ownership of the ServiceNow DR module ensuring all teams develop and maintain comprehensive DR and test plans within ServiceNow and that processes are embedded across the organisation.
  • Develop resilience requirements and standards: work closely with project delivery teams to ensure these are effectively embedded throughout delivery lifecycles.

Qualifications :

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business continuity risk management information technology or related field.

Required experience understanding or credentials including:

  • Experience in BCM/DR testing or operational resilience within complex environments.
  • Understanding of risk management and remediation tracking in GRC/BCM tools (e.g. ServiceNow).
  • Familiarity with APRA standards and BCM principles; ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Solid technical background in IT infrastructure cloud platforms or enterprise systems with the ability to assess and validate disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
