About the team and role:

Digital Infrastructure Services and Facilities ensure the smooth operation of the Universitys physical and digital environments. Digital Infrastructure Services supports critical technology infrastructure including computers software cloud services storage backups audio-visual equipment and the Universitys voice video and data networks.

The Senior Technical Lead Network Support will take a hands-on and proactive approach to identify and deliver Deakins strategic goals by ensuring the delivery of quality network services and support. This position will use technical expertise and strong engagement skills to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop high-quality solutions while adhering to industry standards and university requirements.

As a Senior Technical Lead you will:

  • Lead the delivery of effective and efficient response and resolution of requests and faults within agreed service levels. Undertake regular reporting to monitor performance and create and maintain policies and procedures where required.
  • Lead mentor and inspire a team fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members in delivering initiatives ensuring their growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies procedures and standards governing the operation of networking services and the application of network security principles and practices.
  • Contribute to the overall management of network and audiovisual operations including preparing and implementing work and resource plans.
  • Use understanding of the client context to anticipate needs tailor services improve service offering and ensure a high-quality outcome by addressing client feedback and setting service standards.

To be successful youll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Proven experience in management of support for converged network technologies in an enterprise environment with extensive experience leading troubleshooting of complex platforms.
  • Experience applying policies standards and processes for support services including operational security.
