As a Peer Mentor Volunteer for the BetterLives Service you will use your personal experience of recoveryor a strong understanding of the recovery journeyto support individuals affected by drug and alcohol use. You will act as a mentor motivator and positive role model for people accessing treatment and recovery services.
Your role is to empower and inspire service users to actively engage in their recovery and to help them build confidence resilience and skills that support long-term change. You will provide informal emotional support encouragement and practical information that enables people to make informed choices about their treatment and future.
This is a partnership between North London NHS Foundation Trust and Waythrough Charity.
