The opportunity
Were looking for a bright energetic and outgoing Childrens Marketing Assistant to join the team and work across our award-winning and internationally successful childrens publishing list including Picture Books Illustrated Non-Fiction and Fiction. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and organised person who has a passion for childrens books and is ready to begin their career in publishing.
You will be joining a friendly and collaborative team to provide support across the trade marketing division on a wide range of campaigns and assist with general admin for the department.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic ambitious and passionate about connecting readers everywhere with their next great read bringing their initiative and brilliant work ethic to the team.
Bloomsburys Childrens Books is a high-performing dynamic division of a fast-growing and ambitious publisher and The British Book Awards Childrens Publisher of the Year 2024. Our celebrated list is home to perfect picture books page-turning middle-grade adventures blockbuster YA fantasy and award-winning non-fiction. Its award-winning diverse list includes authors and illustrators such as Benjamin Zephaniah Beth Suzanna Catherine Doyle Jessie Burton Jordan Stephens Kalynn Bayron Katherine Rundell Katya Balen Lex Croucher Sam Sedgman and Tom Percival. The role is a full-time permanent position.
Salary per annum: 27000.
The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square London WC1B 3DP on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are Monday and Tuesday.
As an Assistant role this position is eligible for Bloomsburys Rental Deposit Loan Scheme. To assist candidates who want to start and to establish a career in publishing Bloomsbury offers an interest-free rental deposit to support securing somewhere to live. The rental deposit loan can be up to 3000 and will be paid back over 2 years.
