What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney a worldwide leader in jet engines is looking for a dedicated individual to ensure technology at our manufacturing sites are prepared for Pratt & Whitneys transition to Model Based Manufacturing and Inspection. This role reports to the Manager Model Based Deployment and is a part of the Manufacturing Engineering function within Pratt & Whitneys Operational Excellence organization. Model Based - Definition Manufacturing and Inspection (MD-DMI) is one Pratt & Whitneys Model Based Enterprise (MBE) pillar projects focused on the advancement of digital tools to create a collaborative model-based process design ecosystem to enable improvements in process development speed and effectiveness.

In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with Pratt & Whitneys manufacturing sites to identify the specific production equipment used to support the Model-Based Definition Manufacturing & Inspection (MB-DMI) initiative. You will work closely with the MB-DMI Teams to identify appropriate solutions evaluate required investments and assist the Deployment Leads in ensuring that systems and equipment are properly configured to meet program objectives.

The MB-DMI initiative is a company-wide effort designed to enhance 3D models with formats that enable automated integration into manufacturing business processes. These processes include NC programming tool design work instruction authoring inspection programming first article inspection process capability analysis monitoring and reporting physics-based modeling and Material Review Board (MRB) activities for discrepant materials.

Your role will be instrumental in turning this vision into reality by deploying these capabilities effectively across the organization ensuring alignment with operational goals and driving the adoption of advanced digital manufacturing practices.

Create tailored training and education materials to support the successful adoption of new processes and tools:

Develop resources for end-users vendors and site-level teams to facilitate smoother transitions and implementation.

Support MB-DMI (Model-Based Manufacturing Definition for Manufacturing and Inspection) integration efforts aligning with Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL):

Ensure seamless integration with digital manufacturing and inspection processes to improve readiness and operational efficiency.

Lead cross-functional teams to deliver future-state solutions that positively impact cost quality and speed across manufacturing and business operations.

Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts Chiefs and Fellows across Manufacturing and Quality functions to:

Identify and address process gaps assessing potential ROI through the implementation of new tools.

Drive the development of a strategic plan to integrate digital threads across business processes ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Provide a system-level perspective across PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platforms to ensure full-scale digital integration and interoperability.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelors Degree and minimum 12 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering Operations Engineering Design Supply Chain Project Management Quality or equivalent fields. or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.
Demonstrated expertise in change management leadership and process CORE skills.

Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software packages such as Teamcenter.

Proficiency in creating CAD models Bills of Material and managing the lifecycle of these items.

Advanced proficiency with productivity software including O365 JIRA Smartsheets and similar tools.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Expertise in leveraging

Strong ability to influence without direct authority while holding teams and individuals accountable.

Familiarity with MES platforms (e.g. Solumina) PLM platforms (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter) and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).

Knowledge of ASME Y14.5-1994 and ASME Y14.5-2018 standards.

Experience with Model-Based Definition Manufacturing and Inspection practices.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

For onsite roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 147000 USD - 295000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
