The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU) is internationally recognized for its excellence in education and cutting-edge research in infrastructure environment resilience and sustainable urban systems. As one of the largest and most research-active civil and environmental engineering schools in the world CEE brings together a vibrant community of faculty researchers and students working across multidisciplinary areas such as geotechnical engineering water and environmental systems materials science and computational modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research in geotechnical engineering across areas such as waste isolation contaminant sequestration sediment transport geopolymer development and broader soil engineering applications. Responsibilities include performing computational simulations designing and executing laboratory experiments analyzing data preparing progress reports publishing scientific papers and contributing to the development of research proposals.
Provide mentorship to junior researchers including PhD masters and undergraduate students as well as prospective high school students participating in research projects.
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering or related field
Relevant research experience on geotechnical engineering
Relevant research experience in molecular dynamics simulations and computational fluid dynamics will be preferred.
Excellent proposal writing and report writing skill
Excellent journal paper publication record
Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team
Good interpersonal skills
Good communication and writing in English as required to publish research
Strong responsibility for research.
