No human bottlenecks. Just smart technology making fair decisions fast. That approach helped us grow 74 percent last year fund over 500 million euros in loans and move toward a profitable 2025. Now we are taking our credit risk modelling and analytics to the next level. Champions League level. To do that we are looking for a senior leader who has built models themselves understands real world lending and knows how to turn analytics into business impact.
The models we build decide who gets funded how much and under which conditions. That responsibility makes this role both challenging and exciting.
Your role as Head of Modelling & Analytics
You will own the end to end modelling and analytics strategy for SME lending at BridgeFund. From credit acceptance and pricing to fraud collections and funnel optimisation you connect business goals to data driven solutions that deliver measurable impact on risk revenue and efficiency. You lead and grow a team of data scientists and analysts while staying close enough to the work to challenge guide and raise the bar. You define the roadmap set priorities and ensure that models move from idea to production in a robust explainable and scalable way. This is a leadership role for someone who has built many models themselves and knows when good enough beats perfect. Models are a means business value is the goal.
What your day to day will look like
Define the product vision and roadmap for credit risk modelling and analytics
Own the full model lifecycle from ideation and data preparation to development validation deployment and monitoring
Lead and mentor your team in an agile setup setting clear standards and expectations
Translate business objectives into clear analytical requirements and priorities together with senior stakeholders
Implement and operate real time models for credit decisioning affordability pricing fraud and collections
Improve conversion average ticket size and portfolio performance through experimentation and A B testing
Safeguard data quality model risk management documentation and explainability
Report impact and insights to MT board and C level stakeholders
Work closely with Product Engineering Risk and Compliance to align models with platform capabilities and governance
Build the structure needed to scale the team tooling and ways of working
Job requirements
What you bring
You are a hands-on leader who knows how to steer teams without losing sight of the work itself. You are comfortable making trade offs delivering tough messages and keeping momentum when things get complex.
At least 10 years of experience in data science analytics or credit risk modelling including people management
Proven experience building decisioning models from scratch through to production (preferably credit risk related)
Strong background in analytics and insight generation (preferably in lending or a financial context but exceptional candidates from other industries are welcome!)
Hands on familiarity with modern ML and analytics stacks including Python SQL Git and cloud platforms such as AWS GCP or Azure
Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Hive
Strong understanding of model validation monitoring and explainability
Advanced AI fluency and the ability to design and optimise AI driven workflows
Ability to manage stakeholders prioritise and communicate clearly at all levels
