Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivatedAerospace Structures Engineerwith a minimum of5 years of experienceto lead and manage customer-driven structural development programs for our drone platforms. This critical role focuses on translating customer requirements into scalable mass-producible designs optimized using HP leading additive manufacturing (3D printing) technology. The ideal candidate will be the primary technical interface with key customers guiding projects from concept through final delivery and mass production.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Program Management:

Serve as the primary technical point of contactfor external customers managing expectations and ensuring clear communication throughout the development lifecycle.

Translate complex customer programs into Statements of Work (SOWs) and operational requirementsinto detailed actionable engineering specifications and structural design solutions for drone platforms.

Manage multiple customer development projects ensuring on-time delivery budget adherence and alignment with certification standards.

Conduct and present detailedtechnical reviews and progress updatesto both internal stakeholders and external customers.

Structures Design & Analysis:

Leaddetailed design analysis (FEA) and optimizationof primary and secondary drone airframe structures with Ho FEA specialist (e.g. wings fuselage rotor components).

Specialization inDesign for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM)for light-weighting and part consolidation.

Validate designs throughstress strain fatigue and flutter analysisto ensure compliance with relevant aerospace standards.

Oversee and define requirements forstructural testing(coupon component and full-scale) to validate analytical models and designs.

Production & Quality:

Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team toindustrialize additively manufactured componentsfor repeatable high-volume production.

Develop and managematerial selection and process specificationsunique to aerospace-grade 3D printed components.

Ensure all structural designs meet strictMass Production Cost and Qualitytargets while maintaining performance and airworthiness.

Required Qualifications:

Education:Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

Experience:Minimum of 5 yearsof professional experience in aerospace or defense structures design and analysis.

Additive Manufacturing:Proven hands-on experience and expertise inDesign for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) specifically for structural components.

Analysis Tools:previos experience inFinite Element Analysis (FEA) software(e.g. ANSYS NASTRAN/PATRAN) and CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA) to lead designers and stress activities.

Aerospace Knowledge:Strong understanding of aerospace materials failure criteria andaircraft systems.

Customer Facing:Demonstrated ability to manage complexexternal customer relationships and technical programsin a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master degree in aeronautics

Experience withUAS/Drone platform development.

Familiarity with the challenges and solutions formass production of 3D printed parts.

Knowledge of composite materials design and manufacturing.
