Content Specialist
Dow Jones is looking for a Content Specialist to join our Content team responsible for onboarding ingesting and managing content within Factiva1 products and services. The group ensures accurate delivery of content and distribution/sharing of information about our content to customers publishers and B2B colleagues.
As a Content Specialist you will ensure the integrity of the Content Database a repository of information about all Factiva sources and the accuracy of source details and also a smooth passage of content from publishers to Factiva products according to established standards of timeliness and will work closely with our colleagues in the Content Media Partnerships Factiva Content Technology Product Sales Marketing and Customer Service teams to onboard and manage our content sets provide the required support to Factiva customers and promote our content as a strategic value for Dow Jones customers.
You will report to the Content Manager.
You Will
- Maintain the accuracy of the Factiva source details in the Content Database (CDB) a repository of information about all Factiva sources
- Work with Media Partnerships Content Development Content Operations and Content Curation teams on the addition of new sources and regular maintenance of existing content sets
- Ensure content is displayed correctly and address data format or delivery issues
- Monitor content arrival to ensure that sources are available on Factiva products per expected timeliness and completeness criteria
- Develop and maintain good relationships with our content publishers
- Process editorial amendment requests (deletions and corrections of articles) as instructed by the relevant content publishers or our Legal team
- Support Customer Service by answering content-related questions from internal and external customers providing ad-hoc source lists to colleagues from Customer Service Sales and other departments and reviewing source lists for customers and prospects
- Produce content-focused collateral for external distribution including monthly and annual updates
- Handle multiple high priority tasks and work in collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure task completion
- Support R&C with translation services as and when required
- Write due diligence reports on companies and/or individuals as required and contribute to other projects
You Have
- Excellent decision-making problem-solving analytical and proofreading skills
- A reliable and responsible attitude
- Experience using online research tools
- Basic familiarity with the news publishing landscape
- A flexible approach to the work environment; working independently as well as in a team
- An openness to different views and opinions and an appreciation for team diversity
Preferred
- Familiarity with/basic understanding of data formats such as XML HTML NewsML
- Additional Language skills

- The successful candidate must be willing to participate in a schedule that requires working on Bank Holidays on a rotational basis
