Job Summary
Teacher Assistant School Year
New Dimensions Charter School (NDS) is seeking a caring dependable and motivated Teacher Assistant to join our team for the school year. The ideal candidate is committed to supporting classroom instruction and helping create a positive safe and engaging learning environment for students.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher with daily instruction and classroom activities
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist with classroom organization preparation of materials and student supervision
- Help maintain a positive structured and safe classroom environment
- Support students academic social and emotional development
- Assist with transitions lunch recess and other school activities as needed
- Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and students
- Support school-wide initiatives and uphold the mission of NDS
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or coursework in education preferred)
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Patience flexibility and a positive attitude
- Commitment to student success and growth
