Job Summary

Job Title: Network Administrator

Location: Lansing MI

Key Responsibilities

Install configure and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN)
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Configure and manage routers switches firewalls and VPNs
Manage network security including access control firewall rules and IDS/IPS
Perform network upgrades patches and capacity planning
Maintain network documentation diagrams and procedures
Ensure network compliance with security and regulatory standards
Support incident response and disaster recovery activities
Collaborate with system administrators and application teams
Provide on-call or after-hours support as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

5 years of experience as a Network Administrator
Strong knowledge of:
- TCP/IP DNS DHCP VLANs VPN
- LAN/WAN technologies
Hands-on experience with Cisco Juniper or similar networking equipment
Experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA Palo Alto Fortinet etc.)
Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds Nagios etc.)
Knowledge of network security best practices
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Network certifications (CCNA CCNP Network)
Experience with cloud networking (AWS / Azure)
Experience in government or public sector projects
Knowledge of VoIP and wireless technologies
Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell Python basic)

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field
